At the end of this article, you’ll be completely equipped to choose the best Gevi espresso machine for your specific needs and budget.

Gevi 20 Bar 3 in 1 Espresso Machine

The Gevi 3-in-1 is a versatile all-in-one dual-boiler espresso maker with a 20-bar pressure system, grinder, and steam wand, making it ideal for home use. It’s an excellent pick for aspiring home baristas looking for a high-quality espresso unit.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Gevi 20 Bar 3 in 1, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance and versatility.

As a coffee enthusiast, I have used various espresso machines over the years, and this one definitely stands out for its features and value for money.

First and foremost, the 20-bar pressure pump in this machine is more than good enough to produce enough pressure to make rich espressos.

The way it works is that high pressure allows for proper extraction of the coffee, resulting in a delicious crema on top of the espresso.

One of the things that I, as a barista like to see is the Gevi machine’s adjustable pressure settings. You can adjust the pressure to make stronger or milder espresso, based on your personal taste.

This Gevi espresso machine relies on a dual heating system, which was expected considering the price range.

Dual heating basically means that two separate heating elements are used. One heats water for espresso, while the other makes steam for milk frothing.

This design provides temperature control, ensuring optimal flavour extraction. Both processes can be done simultaneously with separate elements, making espresso extraction more efficient.

As for temperature control, this Gevi premium unit has a PID controller, which also wasn’t a surprise considering the price.

Thanks to this technology, the machine maintains a highly precise and stable temperature range within the funnel, ranging from 197.6℉ to 204℉.

This advanced PID system guarantees that the water is delivered at the ideal temperature, resulting in optimal extraction of the espresso’s flavours and aromas.

Furthermore, the machine uses customizable Pre-Infusion technology.

This means that it gradually increases the pressure at the beginning and releases a small amount of water into your coffee before a steady flow of water to get a more flavourful espresso.

And let’s not forget the built-in grinder. This Gevi unit comes with an integrated precision conical burr grinder. The grinder offers 31 grind settings.

This feature allows you to achieve your preferred taste, regardless of the roast of the beans you choose.

There is also an integrated milk frother for your cappuccinos and lattes. And a pressure gauge adds to the overall aesthetics and the ease of use of this Gevi espresso machine.

Overall, this is a well-built semi-automatic machine with all the bells and whistles. If you plan to brew a lot of espressos daily or would like to improve your home barista skills, I would highly recommend the Gevi 3-in-1 espresso machine.

Gevi 20 Bar 2 in 1 Espresso Machine

The Gevi 2-in-1 is a fast-heating coffee maker that delivers consistent espresso and cappuccino with its automatic brewing and foaming features. It is an excellent on-budget alternative to a 3-in-1 unit.

If you don’t need advanced features from the previous model, the rest of the Gevi machines in this article are also great choices. One of them is Gevi 20 Bar 2-in-1.

One of the flagship features of this unit is its fast-heating technology.

With a rapid heating system, it can reach optimum temperature in a mere 45 seconds, which is faster than most of its counterparts in the market.

This is thanks to the Thermoblock Fast Heating System. This system also allows the machine to provide consistently hot, tasty, and flavorful coffee every time.

The machine’s 20-bar pressure system is another feature that I like. This high-pressure system ensures that every shot is brewed with an ample amount of pressure, producing a rich crema and full-bodied flavour of your espresso.

Unlike the previous premium machine, this Gevi espresso machine relies on Low-Pressure Pre-Infusion to gently soak the coffee before extraction to ensure the best espresso.

And to assist with the perfect temperature during your brews, this machine includes an NTC temperature control system. This system works similarly to PID. It includes two separate thermostats for controlling the temperature of milk and coffee.

The Gevi 2-in-1 carries its name because it comes with an automatic milk frother that makes it easy to create creamy, frothy milk foam. This feature is always appreciated if you like cappuccinos and lattes.

Another great feature of this machine is its easy operation. With a simple, intuitive control panel, you can easily choose your desired cup size and start brewing. The machine’s ease of use might just be its number one feature.

However, it’s worth noting that this Gevi espresso machine lacks some advanced features found in a higher-end model from above.

While it delivers excellent espresso, it does not have programmable settings or a built-in grinder. If you prefer an automated experience or desire a built-in grinder, you may need to consider the previous model.

Nonetheless, this is still a solid espresso machine for a fair price. If you are a beginner looking for a reliable entry-level machine, Gevi 2-in-1 will do the trick.

Gevi 20 Bar Compact Espresso Machine

The Gevi 20 Bar Compact Professional is a sleek stainless steel machine with a 20-bar pressure pump, and milk frother/steam wand that creates creamy and delicious drinks. It’s a great choice if you are limited in space in your kitchen.

The Gevi 20 Bar Compact Professional is another well-made unit. This machine is an eye-catcher, with its sleek design and heavy-duty construction.

One of the top features of the Compact Professional is its small size. It’s a perfect fit for kitchens of any size, making it easy to store away when not in use.

But it also has the ability to brew rock-solid espresso. Just like the previous two models, that is because this one comes with a 20-bar pressure pump as well.

Furthermore, it also uses the termoblock heating system just like the 2-in-1 model. This system ensures that the water temperature is consistent throughout the brewing process, meaning that you’ll always get a fast and perfect cup of coffee.

Another feature this unit shares with the previous one on my list is the Low-Pressure Pre-Infusion as well as NTC Precise Temperature System.

As for its milk-frothing capabilities, this unit differs a bit from others. I like the fact that Gevi uses a professional-level steam wand on this unit making it possible to achieve a coffee-shop-quality latte at home.

Just like all Gevi machines, this model is easy to use. Its user-friendly control panel ensures that you can comfortably and easily make your espresso drinks. And the cool pressure gauge not only looks great but assists you during the brewing process.

The machine comes with a detachable water reservoir and a removable drip tray for easy cleaning and maintenance. It also has a light that indicates when it is time to clean.

Lastly, the Compact Professional is made from high-quality and durable materials. It also comes with a one-year warranty, which gives you a year of peace of mind.

I would recommend this Gevi model if you are looking for a machine that doesn’t take up too much space in your kitchen.

Gevi 15 Bar GECME403-U Espresso Machine

The Gevi 15 Bar GECME403-U is a reliable and affordable option that includes a consistent 15-bar pressure for brewing rich and flavorful espressos. It’s another great on-budget model.

With its compact size and user-friendly features, this espresso machine offers a satisfying brewing experience without breaking the bank.

Unlike the previous three models, this Gevi espresso machine relies on a 15-bar pressure pump. While not as powerful as some high-end machines, this pressure level is still sufficient for extracting the flavours and aromas from your coffee grounds.

Based on my experience, the resulting espresso shots are consistently rich, with a decent crema and a smooth taste.

Other than a slightly weaker pressure pump, GECME403-U doesn’t really differ from the other two models above on my list.

To assist you in making the perfect espresso, it also comes equipped with temp control, a low-pre-infusion system and a pressure gauge.

The sleek and compact design of the unit is also suitable for small kitchens or limited countertop spaces. It won’t take up too much room, yet it doesn’t compromise on functionality.

Operating this machine is a breeze, even for beginners. This is no surprise to me when it comes to Gevi espresso machines.

Additionally, the GECME403-U features a milk frother. The frother produces decent-quality foam, although it may not achieve the same level of professional microfoam as the 3-in-1 model or Compact Professional.

Maintenance is relatively simple with this machine. The removable water tank and drip tray make cleaning hassle-free, and the detachable brew group ensures easy access for regular maintenance and upkeep.

One area where the Gevi GECME403-U falls short is the absence of a built-in grinder. You will need to grind your coffee beans separately before using this machine, which may be an inconvenience for some users.

However, considering the affordability of this machine, it’s a compromise that can be easily overcome by purchasing a separate grinder.

Gevi 20 Bar Fast Heating Espresso Machine

This Gevi offers a fast heating system and a powerful 20-bar pressure, complemented by a convenient milk frother wand. With its double temperature control, it provides an efficient coffee-making experience at home.

Sometimes I feel that there is no difference between Gevi machines except in the way they look, and their names. That said, this model is another compact, affordable, and reliable machine worth considering.

It really reminds me of the Compact Professional model. But instead of the pressure gauge, this unit has a small LCD display in front of the machine.

Just like the previous 3 models, this unit is equipped with a fast-heating thermoblock system that enables you to rapidly heat up and start brewing coffee within seconds.

Additionally, the machines feature a 20-bar pressure pump system that ensures consistent extraction. As I said, there is no pressure gauge on this one.

This machine is also versatile in terms of its brewing options, as it comes with the same dual temperature control system that allows you to make both espresso and cappuccino drinks using the same machine.

This makes it great for households with varying coffee preferences, as you can simply switch between the two brewing modes and tailor the machine to your individual taste.

The Low-Pressure Pre-Infusion makes sure that your coffee is gently soaked before extraction. All these features combined result in a great-tasting espresso.

While the 20 Bar Fast Heating model offers impressive features, it does have a few limitations. The built-in grinder is missing in this model, so you will need to use pre-ground coffee or purchase a separate grinder if you prefer freshly ground beans.

Additionally, some advanced customization options, such as adjusting the brewing temperature or strength, are not available with this machine.

Tips For Choosing The Best Gevi Espresso Machine For You

Although it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the number of choices available, selecting the best Gevi espresso machine doesn’t have to be a daunting task.

Here are some tips to help you choose the right espresso machine that fits your needs:

Determine Your Brewing Needs: When it comes to Gevi, the brewing process is typically either semi-automatic or automatic. Automatic machines require you to grind your coffee beans before pulling the shot, while semi-automatic machines have a built-in grinder that eliminates the need to pre-grind the beans. Decide on the type of brewing process that best suits you, and then narrow down your choices accordingly.

Check the Pump Pressure: The pump pressure of an espresso machine is what determines the quality of your coffee. A machine with a low pump pressure will not produce a rich and full-bodied espresso. The good news is that the Gevi machines are equipped with either a 15-bar or a 20-bar professional pressure pump that can deliver a creamy and frothy espresso shot with ease.

Ease of Use: One of the most important things to consider when selecting a Gevi espresso machine is its ease of use. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned barista, you want a machine that is straightforward and easy to operate. Look for a machine that is intuitive and straightforward in its design, with minimal buttons and controls that are easy to understand. Here is our guide on how to use an espresso machine.

Quality of Construction: You want to invest in an espresso machine that is built to last. The build quality of the machine should be sturdy and made from high-quality material. Once again, the good news is that Gevi doesn’t compromise on the quality of materials being used in making their machines. Some lower-priced models might be a bit poorly made though.

Size of the Unit: The size of the machine is another significant factor to consider. If you have limited counter space, you may want to opt for a smaller machine. On the other hand, if you host parties often and want to make several cups of espresso at a time, you might require a larger machine that can handle the volume.

Cost and Your Budget: Finally, the cost is an obvious consideration that you can’t ignore. What I like about Gevi is that you can find high-quality espresso machines in the mid-range price bracket. While it may be tempting to save money, investing in a more expensive machine may ultimately pay off by giving you a better-tasting cup of coffee and a longer-lasting product.

In my experience, after considering each unit individually, the 20 Bar 3 in 1 stands apart from the rest as the best Gevi espresso machine.

Whether you’re a professional barista looking for the ultimate home machine or a casual espresso fan looking to perfect your everyday latte art – the Gevi 20 Bar 3 i 1 is sure to meet all your needs and expectations.

The Gevi 3-in-1 is a versatile all-in-one dual-boiler espresso maker with a 20-bar pressure system, grinder, and steam wand, making it ideal for home use. It’s an excellent pick for aspiring home baristas looking for a high-quality espresso unit.

With its winning combination of affordability, ease of use, quality parts, and impressive features – we stand by our number one recommendation.
